If you’re a foodie or just like eating good food you’re probably a fan of kabobs. Kabobs originated in the Middle East, though the exact origins are unknown. It’s made from meat cubes, often cooked with vegetables on a skewer.
Today we’re going to share how to make Middle Eastern Grilled Chicken Kabobs in simplest way. Let’s get started!
In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt, olive oil, paprika, cumin, cinnamon, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper and garlic.
Trim the chicken of any excess fat and gristle. Don’t worry about getting every last bit of fat; most of it will melt off on the grill. Then cut the meat into bite-size pieces.
Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers alternating with the red onions. Metal skewers are ideal as they won’t catch fire on the grill.
Place the kabobs on a baking sheet lined with foil, and then brush the marinade all over the meat, coating well. Cover and let the kabobs sit in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, grease well, and then grill the kabobs until golden brown.
Serve and enjoy!
In a large bowl, add the chicken which has been cut into small pieces. Then add the olive oil, yogurt, paprika, cumin, salt, onion powder, ginger, black pepper, turmeric, minced garlic, parsley, and cilantro.
Mix all together to marinade evenly.
Cover and let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour or overnight. If you don’t want the wooden skewers to burn in the oven, soak them in warm water for about 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Thread the pieces of chicken onto the skewer. Once the skewer is full, repeat with the other skewers until all the chicken is threaded.
Place the skewers on your rack and tray, making sure they are spaced apart.
Roast in the oven for 15 minutes, then flip over and roast for another 5 minutes. Make sure the chicken has cooked through in the center and then take out of the oven.
Garnish with more cilantro or parsley and a sprinkle of sumac. Serve warm.
Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, kosher salt, and black pepper add to the chicken pieces along with a tablespoon of avocado oil. Mix thoroughly until combined and marinate for 20 minutes.
Make butter in pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add honey and freshly chopped parsley and stir to combine. Turn off the heat.
Skewer the chicken pieces tightly onto bamboo skewers. Line the basket with parchment paper and lay the chicken skewers on the parchment paper.
Air fry at 400F for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken skewers and air fry at 400F for another 6-8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through (165F internal temp).
Top with parsley and brush with the garlic herb butter and enjoy!
